Privacy policy
Bus CPC website and app. Last updated 28 October 2026.
Who we are
buscpc.co.uk and the Bus CPC app are run by Logistics Training (UK) Ltd, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. Questions about this policy, or about information we hold, go to getintouch@buscpc.co.uk.
The short version
- You can use the free practice material without giving us anything.
- If you create an account, we hold your email address, a protected copy of your password, what you have bought and your progress, so the same login works on the website and in the app.
- Card payments on the website are taken by Stripe. Payments in the app are taken by Apple or Google. We never see your card details.
- We do not show adverts, sell your information or use it to track you around the internet.
Information we hold, and why
Your account
An account is optional in the app and needed to buy on the website. It holds your email address and your password, stored only as a one-way protected copy that we cannot read. We use it to log you in and to send emails you need, such as a password reset.
If you bought from the old buscpc.co.uk shop, your existing login is carried across so you can keep using the same password. The first time you log in, your old password is checked and then stored the same way as everyone else's.
What you have bought
We record which modules your account owns, when, and where they were bought: on this website, in the App Store, on Google Play, or carried over from the old site. For App Store and Google Play purchases, the app sends us the store's purchase reference and we ask Apple or Google to confirm it, so the purchase also unlocks the website and any other device you log in to.
Your progress
Your scores in practice tests, case studies, mock tests and hazard perception clips, and which study topics you have marked as read, are saved to your account when you are logged in, so they follow you between devices. Without an account they stay on your own device only.
Payments on the website
Card payments are taken by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us. Stripe tells us the payment succeeded and gives us a reference, which we keep with your purchase. Stripe processes your payment under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
Messages you send us
If you contact us, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply.
Reviews
Our home page shows reviews from REVIEWS.io. If you choose to leave a review, you do it on REVIEWS.io under their terms and privacy policy.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of providers to run the service. Each only handles what it needs to:
- Supabase stores accounts, purchases and progress, in London.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Stripe takes website card payments.
- Apple and Google take in-app payments and confirm them to us.
- REVIEWS.io supplies the reviews shown on the home page.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law. We do not sell or rent personal information to anybody.
Our legal basis
Under the UK GDPR we rely on:
- Contract, to run your account, record what you have bought and give you access to it.
- Legal obligation, to keep records of sales for tax and accounting.
- Legitimate interests, to answer messages, keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, purchases and progress for as long as you have an account. You can delete your account at any time, in the app under Useful information, Your account, or by emailing us. Deleting it removes your login, progress and purchase records from our systems. Records of payments are kept for six years because the law requires it. Messages are normally kept for no more than two years.
Cookies
The website uses only what it needs to work, such as keeping you logged in and remembering your progress on this device. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The reviews widget is loaded from REVIEWS.io.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, and receive it in a portable form. Email getintouch@buscpc.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would prefer the chance to put things right first.
Children
Bus CPC is study material for people training for a PCV licence and the Driver CPC, so it is aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
